28 sports were included in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games

The Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games Sports Program will be made up of 28 sports, including skateboarding, sport climbing and surfing. These sports were approved by the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

International Hockey Federation (FIH)

International Judo Federation (IFJ)

International Wrestling Federation (UWW)

International Swimming Federation (FINA)

World Rugby Federation

World Taekwondo Federation (WT)

International Tennis Federation (ITF)

International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)

International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF)

World Archery Federation (WA)

World Triathlon Federation (TRI)

World Sailing Federation (WS)

International Volleyball Federation (FIVB)

International Surfing Association (ISA)

The IOC and the Los Angeles 2028 Organizing Committee renewed their joint commitment to prioritize reducing the costs and complexity of organizing the Games, including a review of each sport, in consultation with the Organizing Committee and International Federations. .

As far as football is concerned, the IOC will continue to monitor developments in the international match calendar.

Boxing, weightlifting and modern pentathlon could potentially be included in the Initial Sports Program, provided that the Federations have demonstrated that they have satisfactorily addressed the areas specified by the Executive Committee, on December 9, 2021.
