VIDEO⟩ Brown forges the Celtics victory with 50 points – Basketball

The Bostonians defeated the Orlando “Magic” on their field with a score of 116: 111 (28:19, 17:23, 20:35, 35:23, 16:11).

Brown scored 21 points in the fourth quarter and added extra time with his fifth accurate long shot in the match. He broke the previous record that Brown set on October 20 against the New York Knicks by four points.

“We had to win. God forbid, we would have lost this game. That wouldn’t be good,” said Brown, who also won 11 rebounds.

Brown is the seventh Celtics basketball player to score at least 50 points in a single game. He is also the fourth Boston player to score at least 50 + 10 in a single match and rebounds, joining Jason Tate, Larry Berth and Kevin McSport.

Marcus Smart added 17 points, seven assists and seven rebounds, while Denis Schröder had 21 points and seven assists.

In the “Magic” team, Terens Ross was the most successful with 33 points, Gary Harris had 23 points, but Wendel Carter junior scored 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Both units played without their most productive basketball players. In the Celtics, Jason Teutam is subject to the Covid-19 protocol and missed his fourth game in a row, while Clay Anthony is on the right leg of the Magic.

The teams will play 82 games in the regular championship and are approaching half of the main tournament.
