Alja Tomljanovic knows how to be forgiven.
Asked about the court following her victory on Tuesday against Schmieldova in the first round of the Sydney tournament (6–2, 6–3), Alja Tomljanovic had forgotten the birthday of one of his coaches which was reminded to him by the interviewer.
Encouraged by the latter, Matteo Berrettini’s fiancée sang the famous “Happy Birthday” with the hundred or so spectators present. A nice moment even if it is always a little embarrassing for the person concerned.
