The Zlín footballers have started winter training without reinforcements

Compared to the autumn, three players were missing from the cabin at today’s meeting. Goalkeeper Matej Rakovan extended his leave for a few days after his daughter’s New Year’s birth, midfielder Marek Hlinka is after a minor operation and Lamin Jawo will join the training process at the end of the week. But the club counts on everything for spring.

They do not expect a large strengthening of the staff in the east of Moravia. “But I have already announced that I would like to have more competition in the squadron on the edges of the defense and also in the attack,” coach Jan Jelínek, who will start studying the highest coaching license this year and is currently led as an assistant by Marek Kalivoda, told ČTK.

The Zlín footballers collected 37 goals during the autumn, which is the highest number after Bohemians and Pardubice. “One of our goals for winter training will be to improve the defensive activities of the entire team and also to increase productivity,” Jelínek noted.

The winter training plan published by the club at the end of the year may still change. Originally, there were only three preparatory duels and no concentration. “We have space there for another match and also for concentration. Both are in negotiations. We will definitely not go abroad, rather I see it for a stay in Moravia,” Jelínek indicated.

The first duel will be played by the “shoemakers” at home with Líšeň this Saturday, and a match in Zbrojovka is planned for next week. Zlín will complete the league league on January 29 at home with the Slovak Senica.
