The XVI Spanish Junior Championship and Inmaculada Hernández Memorial will bring together more than 150 judokas next Sunday

Next Sunday, the Leisure and Sports Center will host the XVI Spanish Junior Championship and Inmaculada Hernández 2022 Memorial, in which more than 150 judokas from all over Spain, born between 2002 and 2007, will participate.

A championship in which judokas from different communities such as Andalusia, the Canary Islands, Cantabria, Castilla y León, Castilla-La Mancha, Galicia, Madrid, Murcia and Navarra will participate. In addition, as Vicente Zarza pointed out in the presentation, the clubs Doryoku, Navega, Santa Marta, Zarza and Villares de la Reina will participate from Salamanca, and the youngsters Alejandro Pérez, Iván Rodríguez and Estefanía López will compete.

The Councilor for Sports, Miryam Tobal, commented that this championship is part of the calendar of sports activities of the Royal Spanish Federation of Judo and DA, which means that fifty technicians will monitor and control the tests.

The organization of this championship plans to start with the antigen tests on Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. If it is negative, they will be able to weigh-in and leave the facility until Sunday, the day of the competition.

On Sunday, the clashes will begin at 9:30 am in shifts, which will take place depending on the final number of entries and the awarding of the medals will take place at the end of each of the categories.

The mayor of Sports has shown her satisfaction at hosting a championship of this type and «being able to return to a certain normality in terms of competitions, since there will be no publico, although it can be followed in streaming«.
