The “SOP” is back

Organized in 2021, Olympic and Paralympic Week (SOP) returns from January 24 to 28, 2022 at CREPS Île-de-France. A SOP which this year focuses on the themes of climate and the environment.

The year is off to a strong start at CREPS Île-de-France. From January 24 to 28, it will host the 2022 edition of Olympic and Paralympic Week. An event now well anchored in the calendar. Following the designation of Paris as the host city of the Games in 2024, this Olympic and Paralympic Week is organized each year by the Ministry of National Education, Youth and Sports, in partnership with the French sports movement. In 2021, CREPS Île-de-France had already fully taken part in this event. “The 2021 edition was a success despite the sanitary conditions which forced us to review the activities offered one week before the event”, says Peggy Amiotte, responsible for the communication department of CREPS. Despite the health context linked to the Covid-19 pandemic, the five days allowed a total of 1,000 students and 34 classes to fully participate in the event. During these days, six Olympic venues were visited and no less than seven departments were affected by the various actions implemented by CREPS on this occasion. Another satisfaction for CREPS Île-de-France: high media coverage, provided by SPORTMAG, with five TV sets, 29 reports, for a total of 1.2 million people affected by the content offered. “There is a need among young people to be active, to practice sport, to share moments together other than at school. This is why in 2022 we are renewing this project ”, rejoices Peggy Amiotte.
