The Indonesian National Team Will Compete in FIFA Matchday, Here are 3 Candidates for Opponents All

KOMPAS.com – The Indonesian national team will play two test matches labeled FIFA Matchday in early 2022. There have been three countries that have been nominated as opponents.

FIFA Matchday in early 2022 is scheduled to run from January 24 to February 1.

According to reports from sportsball, Monday (4/1/2022), the Indonesian national team can play at least two international matches.

The test matches of the Indonesian national team are reportedly already in PSSI’s plan.

“PSSI will take advantage of the available FIFA Matchday this year,” said PSSI Secretary General Yunus Nusi, as quoted from BolaSport.

PSSI has explored three teams to compete against the Indonesian national team, namely Tajikistan, Brunei Darussalam, and Bangladesh.

“They have offered to test PSSI,” said Yunus Nusi.

For the location of the match, Yunus Nusi said the FIFA Matchday match would be held in Bali.

Bali was appointed because the second round of Liga 1 2021-2022, which is entering the fourth series, will be held on the Island of the Gods.

Of course this will make it easier for the Indonesian national team coach, Shin Tae-yong, to mix his best players to compete in FIFA Matchday.

Because, the clubs will also have no trouble releasing their players even though the match schedule may clash.
