The Girona teams of the Third RFEF are back in action with very different goals

The Third RFEF returns this weekend with different goals for the Girona teams in the category. Olot and Girona B will fight for the leadership of the group one more week, closely monitored by Peralada, while Figueres wants to avoid falling in relegation.

The white-and-reds receive a visit (12:00 pm) from a direct rival for promotion, L’Hospitalet, who, after a hesitant start, has stuck to the leading positions in the classification. The riverside are four points away from the Girona branch. A local victory would ensure a direct average, as Axel Vizuete’s team prevailed in the first round match by two goals to one in the Feixa Llarga. The match could mean the debut of central midfielder Marc Fuentes with Girona B. As for the departures, the striker Castroviejo and the lane Maxi Villa left Riudarenes.

Another who can also make his debut will be Jordi Xumetra with Olot. The Empordà native, who returns to the Garrotxa team from where he left in the summer, is currently the only addition to the Garrotxa team in this transfer window. The premiere could be the Castelldefels field (12:00 pm), where Albert Carbó will be able to count on the whole squad with the exception of Ferri López, who is down for Covid-19. Despite the comfortable victory at the Municipal d’Olot, Carbó does not rely on a rising Castelldefels: “It will be different from the first round match. The EU Castelldefels had a very difficult start and is now being put in place. He has experienced players and at home he is proving to be a strong team. It is one of those difficult fields in the category, if we manage to get three points it will be a punch on the table “.

The other Girona team in the leading positions, Peralada, which has one game less and is only three points away from Girona B and Olot, visits the field of La Pobla de Mafumet (18:00 h). It will be a special match for Sergi Caballero, the only signing of the champagners in this market. Caballero played until before the Christmas holidays at the Nàstic branch, where he played a total of ten matches.

At the bottom, Figueres will try to reverse its position in the standings. The white-and-blues have a direct duel with the Saints (18:05 h), first team in relegation positions and one point below the team of Moisés Hurtado. Figueres will try to break the bad streak in Vilatenim, where it has not yet managed to win this season. Hurtado will have a good handful of casualties: Urri, Blay, Maynau, Bastidas, Tarrenchs, Ivan Pérez and Bech. Due to the confrontation, the Empordà team recovers Dani Gómez, Torres and Timo.
