The Celtics and their night of shame against the Clippers

Not only did they take another loss, Boston suffered a great shame in the TD Garden itself in their game against the Clippers and they got into NBA history with one of the worst three-point shooting averages.

The Celtics fell 91-82, but the worst part is that they only managed to make 4 of their 42 3-point attempts for a poor 9.5 ERA, setting the second-worst mark in league history for a team with at least 40 attempts.

Boston among the worst

The aim was simply not on his side, just see what happened with Jaylen Brown who was the leader in points with 30 points, but in triples, one of the stars of the Celtics was 1 of 13. The rest of the team was in the same tenor, highlighting Al Horford with 0-7. In the fourth quarter alone, he made only one of his 18 attempts, missing the last 15 shots.

The Celtics placed second among the worst 3-point percentages with at least 40 attempts, only surpassed by the Rockets, here that group of shame.

  • Rockets 8.9% (February 28, 2021)
  • Celtics 9.5% (December 29, 2021)
  • Nets 11.9% (February 4, 2019)
  • Timberwolves 13.3% (November 10, 2019)

The Celtics have a lot to correct and they can start by improving their aim that will surely help them improve their performances because in the last 11 games they have lost eight times.
