Roosteren –

The Roosterse BC badminton players have taken three welcome points in the home game against Amersfoort. In the Albertzaal they lost 3-5.

Amersfoort is on paper the strongest team in the enforcement group, but did not come to Roosteren in the strongest line-up. Roosterse was not complete either. Xenia Koelmel was missing and Dorien Lups suffered an old injury again last week. The men’s and women’s doubles were lost without a chance. But then the home team picked up steam and took the necessary points.

Marijn Put and Rick Steuten both won their singles. Steuten even by giving opponent Lennart Bijkerk only nineteen points. Kirstin Boonen and Flora Wang failed and lost. In the mixed doubles, both teams split the loot. These are three important points for Roosterse in the enforcement group. Next week there are many more to be caught against the two lesser teams Amor in Groningen and Smashing in Wijchen.
