results of the Italian Absolute Fighting Championships 2022

On Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd January 2022 in Ostia (Rm), at the PalaPellicone, the FIJLKAM Absolute Italian Wrestling Championships took place.
Saturday was the day of the Greco-Roman wrestling with the male only categories and Sunday instead it was the men’s and women’s wrestling.

Curiosity

The society CUS Turin has reconfirmed also this year the double gold medal of last year in the ranking of the companies both in the Greco-Roman wrestling and in the women’s wrestling.

A big absentee is the Olympian Frank Chamizo.

They reconfirmed the absolute Italian title of last year:

    • in women’s free wrestling Carmen Di Dio (Ionian Club Fight) in -53 kg, Sara Da Col (CUS Torino) last year in the -62 kg while this year in the -68 kg and Eleni Pjollaj (Fiamme Oro Roma) last year in -76 kg while this year in -72 kg;
    • in men’s free wrestling Simone Vincenzo Piroddu (Rome Army) in -61 kg, Gianluca Talamo (Carabinieri Rome) in the -70 kg, Jacopo Masotti (Chiavari Ring) in the -74 kg and Abraham Conyedo Ruano (Rome Army) last year in the -97 kg and this year, after the Olympic bronze in Tokyo, he has in the -125 kg.
