Ready the playoff puzzle

With the dramatic conclusion of Week 18 of the largest season in history, the 14 available playoff spots were finally reclaimed.

Sunday night’s game between the Chargers and Raiders was the last piece to be laid in the postseason puzzle. A game that was defined in the last second of overtime gave him tickets to Las Vegas and, incidentally, to the Steelers. Pittsburgh needed a miracle and it got it.

The Packers in the NFC and the Titans in the AFC are the two organizations that will have the privilege of taking a break on the first weekend thanks to finishing top seeds in their respective conferences.

Green Bay secured the first seed last week, while Tennessee. In a trip that can be classified as big business, they visited Houston to beat the Texans and capture for the third time in franchise history, the best record in the AFC.

As the Packers and Titans players settle into their couches for a week without activity, the rest of the elements of the 12 franchises will delve into the cruel postseason arena.
Eagles vs buccaneers

The Buccaneers will continue the defense of the Vince Lombardi trophy by hosting the Eagles on Sunday noon. The two teams have met 20 times (including four postseason games). The historical rivalry is tied at 10 wins per side. On October 14, 2021, Tom Brady’s Bucs defeated Philadelphia 28-22.

49ERS VS JEANS

In a classic NFC showdown, Dallas opens its stadium on Sunday afternoon to revive a long-standing rivalry. Throughout all time these two iconic franchises have met 37 times (including seven postseason games), the Cowboys have 19 wins.

Cardinals vs Rams

As members of the NFC West, Arizona and Los Angeles are old acquaintances. They have 87 games between them, including a playoff game in 1975, which was won by Rams. The record among these organizations is dominated by Rams with 46 wins. They are on the first Monday Night in the postseason.

Steelers vs Bosses

Against the odds and with a carom of results, the Steelers are in the postseason. The bad news is that they travel to Kansas City to face the AFC champions. These organizations have been measured in 36 games, two of them postseason. In 2017 the Steelers beat the Chiefs 18-17 in the divisional round. Pittsburgh has 23 wins.

Patriotas vs Bills

A rematch of the AL East will take place on Saturday night when the Bills host their worst enemy in Buffalo: the Patriots have taken 77 of 124 games. The only playoff meeting between them was in 1963 with New England victory.

Raiders vs Bengalíes

The last invited to the postseason were the Raiders and the Steelers thanks to the triumph of Las Vegas. Now the Raiders will face the Bengals. These teams have met 33 times with 21 victories for the Bad Boys.
