Quartet of goals by Young PSV talent Johan Bakayoko special, but certainly not unique | Football

It was already the third time that a player of Jong PSV, which made its debut at the second level in 2013-2014, scored a quartet of goals in one First Division match. Joël Piroe (2018) and Sam Lammers (2016) preceded the 18-year-old Belgian.

No other club has seen its own footballer hit four goals so often in a single game in the past 8.5 seasons.

Johan Voskamp is the record holder of the Kitchen Champion Division. He once scored eight goals in one game. That was in 2010 when Sparta Rotterdam settled 12-1 with Almere City.

Ugur Yildirim (Go Ahead Eagles – Cambuur: 10-0, 2003) and Jerry Taihuttu (Top Oss-Eindhoven: 7-2, 1997) once produced seven hits in a duel. Rik Platvoet shot Heracles in 2002 with five hits to a 1-7 victory over Cambuur.

In total, 32 goals were scored four times in a game in the First Division by a player. Robert Mühren, Thijs Dallinga, Issa Kallon and Stefan Janssen even did that twice.
