The increase in Covid-19 infections has forced the premiere of the main basketball teams in the province to be postponed.
The premiere of 2022 is leading to a general problem for society with the increase in cases of coronavirus, a fact that is making itself felt strongly in sports and especially in short-squad competitions, such as basketball.
And it is that the fact of having few players, and the fear that a positive will transform in a little into an outbreak, means that many games are being postponed these days. In the case of the main provincial teams, this fact has been complete.
Tau Castelló is currently being the most affected team, since both what was going to be their last game in 2021 against Valladolid and the first in 2022 against Granada have been postponed, in both cases also due to positives in the opposing team. A setback that will tighten the calendar even more in the coming weeks, since this month the first round must be closed to meet the teams participating in the Princess of Asturias Cup. In this case, the only positive thing is that Toni Ten will have time to refresh the team after the last 2 defeats, with the option of being able to recover Jorge Bilbao or more closely match the latest signing, the Dutch Van Der Vuurst.
The situation has been worse for Mi Arquitecto CB Benicarló and Fustecma NBF Castelló. Both teams have confirmed several positives in their squad, which luckily are only having mild symptoms, but which have forced them to postpone their matches for the weekend. Peliagudo is the case of the Baix Maestrat team, since their match against Cartagena was key to knowing if they achieved the pass for the LEB Silver Cup. With this, the FEB has acted quickly and has set the meeting in Benicarló for the 12th.
Suspensions have also reached EBA, with the Tau subsidiary postponing the match against Torrent. At the moment, both EB Vila-real and Inalco Alcora Caixa Rural are continuing.

FBCV measures
Given this, and in categories of regional level, the Valencian federation has decided to adopt a series of special measures to make the development of the competitions viable in the coming weeks, thus helping the clubs in the management of their teams. These special measures can be consulted in detail in the previous documents, and are summarized in:
Measurements in all competitions
Coach availability in special conditions. When a Club cannot have any of the coaches with a license processed in the team for a meeting, due to being in compliance with the isolation determined by the health officials, the Club can choose different alternatives to have a coach.
Specific information on the conditions of access and the services available at the facility. Given that each facility owner has decided which facility services will be available and in order to learn about these services from visiting teams before attending the meeting, the space at www.fbcv.es is kept active for the expansion of the information of the teams when they act as local.
In addition, as has been done until now, party changes will continue to be at zero cost when they are motivated by isolation decreed by health officials.
Exclusive measurements in Minibasket competitions
These measures are adopted so that all Alevines and Benjamines IR competitions can finish the Levels Phase.
The last day to play matches of the Levels Phase will be January 23. Dates added to the calendar days are enabled to be able to play all the matches of this 1st Phase.
The start of the Championships Phase is moved to February 6. Therefore, the calendars of the 2nd Phase are modified.
The waiver of the dispute of matches is allowed without financial sanction. If despite the dates enabled for the dispute of postponed matches, a team reaches the situation of not being able or not wanting to play any of the matches that it has pending, it may request the resignation to play it, scoring in the result 2-0 or 0-2 (depending on the team submitting the waiver). This measure is exclusively for the matches of the Levels Phase and the only consequence of the resignation will be for qualifying purposes.
