Premier League: ManUnited 1-0 West Ham: Last-minute rescue for Rangnick – Football

92 minutes of trembling – and then salvation!

Only in the very last minute did Manchester United win 1-0 against West Ham United. And that at least puts an end to the crisis. After a bankruptcy against Wolverhampton in early January and a draw at Aston Villa, Ralf Rangnick’s (63) side finally got their second league win in a row.

Marcus Rashford (24) is the man of the game in the third minute of added time. Cavani plays in, the Brit is there and pushes in for the last minute lead! United made a point three at the last second – and moved past West Ham in the table to sit fourth by a point.

While his players cheer exuberantly, coach Rangnick stands on the edge comparatively little moved, cheers briefly emotionally and then is completely composed again – and just seems happy that after 90 minutes of cramping the threesome worked out.

The setback before the start of the game: Rangnick has to do without Victor Lindelöf (27) in the game for fourth place. It was broken into on Wednesday evening during the 3-1 win at Brentford. His wife and two children were in the house during the burglary and had to hide, but luckily were unharmed. Harry Maguire played for him against West Ham.

In the first half United really bite their teeth at West Ham. Cristiano Ronaldo (20th) has the first real chance.

A good quarter of an hour later, the Portuguese then demands a penalty because he falls after touching Zouma – but there was nothing! Referee Moss sees it that way too. Overall, little comes from Ronaldo.

The second half starts spicier than the first 45 minutes, but the ball just doesn’t want to go over the line yet. The first really strong chance of the game goes to Fred (50th) – but Aréola holds. West Ham are also pushing for the lead – but Bowen only hits the side netting (54).

In the end, Rashford made it clear, who only came onto the pitch after a good hour for Elanga…
