NFL: Raiders cornerback Nate Hobbs arrested for impaired driving

Las Vegas Raiders rookie cornerback Nate Hobbs was arrested Monday morning on charges of impaired driving.

The incident came hours after his team signed an important victory over the Indianapolis Colts to keep their chances of making the playoffs.

The Las Vegas Police Department report said officers intervened after receiving a call indicating that a driver fell asleep in his vehicle on the exit ramp of a parking lot. After performing a test to determine the amount of alcohol, Hobbs was taken to the detention center.

The list of legal troubles is growing this year for the Raiders. A little over two months ago, Henry Ruggs III was involved in a traffic accident which resulted in the death of a young woman. The receiver could face up to 50 years in prison for dangerous impaired driving.

Last year, it was running back Josh Jacobs who was arrested following an accident involving only his vehicle while he was also impaired.

A fifth-round draft pick, Hobbs has impressed this season with an interception, a forced fumble, a quarterback and 67 tackles.
