Thanks to a strong second half, Raoul Korner’s team narrowly won against the Löwen from Lower Saxony with 94:92 (43:52) and is now in tenth place with 16:18 points.
Marcus Thornton led Bayreuth to victory with 27 points against the Löwen, where Martin Peterka was the best thrower (22). Braunschweig slips down to 13th place with 12:20 points.
In front of Bayreuth are three teams with 20:12 points each: BG Göttingen (9th), Hakro Merlins Crailsheim (8th) and Hamburg Towers (7th). The top eight teams in the BBL qualify for the playoffs.
