It is the second time this season that Lindhout whistles a Feyenoord match. Earlier this season, the referee whistled the home game against AZ on November 7, 2021. The team of trainer Arne Slot won 1-0 against the Alkmaarders in De Kuip thanks to a goal by Cyriel Dessers in injury time. Lindhout gave that game two yellow cards.
