‘Kongolo stands for return: interest from (sub)top for ex-Feyenoorder’

Terence Kongolo will most likely return to the Dutch fields. The former defender of Feyenoord may leave Fulham and clubs from the (sub)top of the Eredivisie are interested, Algemeen Dagblad reports.

Kongolo has come second to the London club, which plays in the Championship. The still only 27-year-old mandekker played less than a minute in the first team this season. Several Dutch clubs are therefore investigating the possibility of renting him, know AD. The newspaper mentions clubs from the ‘(sub)top’ of the Eredivisie.

Kongolo made his debut for Feyenoord ten years ago and grew to international during his period in De Kuip. He took part in the 2014 World Cup in Brazil with the Dutch national team. In the end, the counter stopped at four international matches. The left leg lost sight of the Orange after his transfer in 2017 to AS Monaco, which was willing to pay fifteen million euros for him. A year later, Huddersfield Town even paid twenty million, but he did not conquer a starting place.

Kongolo has tried his luck at Fulham in recent years, but due to injuries he has only played sparsely. The Londoners are therefore willing to cooperate with a rental period. He still has a contract until mid-2024.
