Hubber won on Thursday, winning the World Cup for the first time with 286.8 points (136.5 and 137 meters).

Kobayashi started his jumps on Thursday with a 17.9-point lead over Norway’s Marius Linnvik, and the last hope for the Norwegian to win the title ended with a first jump of 126 meters, finishing in tenth place after the second.

He finished second with 1138.1 points, 9.9 points ahead of Granerud.

Kobayashi became only the third three years ago to win all four single-season four springboard races, joining German Sven Hannavald (2002) and Kamil Stoh from Poland (2018).

At the start of the season, the Japanese were forced to skip the race for some time due to a Covid-19 infection, but have recovered, winning five of the last seven World Cup stages and leading the way with 841 points.
