Our beloved husband, father, father-in-law and friend, Kin Wing Wong passed away on January 13th, 2022.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Tuan; son, Andrew (Catherine); sister, Josephine (Gregory) Yu; brother, Kin Chung Wong; and sister, Sandra (Daniel) Cheung, as well as relatives and numerous friends.
Kin was born in Hong Kong, before moving to Edmonton, AB. He spent 43 years as a dentist, doing what loved best: providing the best dental care for his patients in St. Albert, and teaching generations of dental students at the University of Alberta. Kin became a pillar at the University, and many local dentists remember having him as a phenomenal instructor. Kin was very involved in several local and national dental organizations. In his spare time, he enjoyed travelling with his family, golfing, swimming, bicycling, reading, playing badminton and umpiring in badminton tournaments.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
A virtual service will be held at 1:00 P.M., on Wednesday, January 19th, 2022 on the Connelly-McKinley Funeral Home website.
All in person attendees will require photo ID and proof of vaccinations, or a negative Covid test within 72 hours.
