Indira Delivery State Sports Award 2021 – The Commentary

The governor Indira Vizcaino Silva delivered this Wednesday (12), at the Government Palace, the State Sports Award 2021 Cristóbal Alejandro Aburto Tinoco, judo coach; Javier Alejandro Rosas Hoyos, judo athlete, and Ignacio Vicente Guanche Méndez, weightlifting athlete.

According to information from a press release, the head of the Executive offered the support of her administration so that the Colimense Institute of Sports (Incode) be useful “in its two aspects: to spread the culture of physical activity and sports practice; but also to support and improve high-performance sports ”.

In addition, he stated that for his Government it is of the utmost importance to massively promote the physical activity, “Because people who do sports are mentally healthy people, they are productive, proactive, collaborative, positive people and from these people we need many more in our Colima”.

For his part, the general director of Incode, Sergio Jimenez Bojado, thanked the governor’s interest in participating in the ceremony of this sports award, which had a delay in its delivery from the date on which it is traditionally carried out for reasons beyond the control of the present administration.

While, Gabriela Denisse López Estrada, Head of the Department of Scholarships, Awards and Stimuli of Incode, explained that in this thirty-first delivery of the State Sports Award 49 women and 79 men have been awarded over these 30 years; of which 89 are athletes and 39 coaches.

Profiles of the winners

Cristóbal Aburto Tinoco: Coach of the judo discipline in the conventional specialty and of the blind and visually impaired; participated as a coach in Junior Pan American Games in Cali, Colombia, achieved a silver medal in the Junior Pan American Super Cup in Ecuador, second place in Conade 2021 National Games; second place in the Junior Pan American Cup in Lima, Peru, and a gold medal in the Junior National Championship, held in Aguascalientes.

Javier Alejandro Rosas Hoyos: Judo athlete with achievements that stand out in the Junior National Championship with a gold medal, a silver medal at the Conade National Games, second place at the Super Junior Pan American Cup in Ecuador; second place in the Junior Pan American Cup, held in Lima, Peru; fifth place in the Junior Pan American Championship in Cali, Colombia, as well as his participation in the Junior World Championship in Olbia, Italy.

Ignacio Vicente Guanche Méndez: Weightlifting athlete with achievements such as the Sub-17 Virtual Pan American Sub-Championship in Colombia; three gold medals in Conade 2021 National Games; three gold medals in Pan American under 17; bronze medal in the national tournament held in San Luis Potosi, as well as their participation in the Mundial Sub 17 in Saudi Arabia.
