In the fifth minute, Ģirts Silkalns, after the passes of Rainers Dārziņš and Roberts Petrovičs, put Riga in the lead – 1: 0, but 55 seconds later the guests equalized after Ivan Dementjev’s litter.

In the ninth minute, the puck was again in the goal of the Rigans, but the goal was not counted due to the game with high sticks.

In the 11th minute, the Rigans players took the lead again. Ričards Staņislavskis blocked the visibility of the goalkeeper in front of the goal, and Gustavs Millers, after the passes of Artūrs Andžāns and Artūrs Karaša, put the home team in the lead for the second time in the game – 2: 1.

However, in the 30th minute, the guests reached a level playing field by passing Kiril Kondirev alone against the home goalkeeper Rūdolfs Lazdiņš and sending the puck between the goalkeepers – 2: 2.

Russkije Vitjazi took the lead in the 36th minute after Dmitry Gromov’s equalizer. The result did not change until the end of the fight, although the Rigans had a 2 + 2 minute majority.

On Thursday, the Rigans gave in to the same opponents with the result 1: 3.

In the tournament table, “Riga” ranks 15th in the Western group with 28 points in 44 matches, while “Russkije Vitjazi” ranks seventh in the duel with 53 points.

On Tuesday and Wednesday, Riga will meet with the Spartak team in Moscow.

“Riga” took the 13th place in the main conference of the Western Conference last season and did not qualify for the elimination tournament.

After one season, the head coach Raimonds Vilkoits has returned to the Riga “Dinamo” team in the coaching corps.

The MHL Season 13 calendar predicts that each team will play 64 games in the main event (32 at home, 32 away). The “Riga” team plays in the Western group, which has 17 teams and only the top eight enter the playoffs.
