January 15 –Wizards had Rui Hachimura in his home game against the Blazers, scoring the first 3 points of the season and 5 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist.
It was his fourth match of the season, and he started on the bench with five and a half minutes remaining in 1Q. Immediately after the start of 2Q, he missed the jump shot and then made two free throws to score 3 points from 45 degrees to the right. I went down to the bench with 8 minutes remaining in 2Q.
With five and a half minutes remaining in 3Q, he returned to the court and missed the layup and jump shot. I didn’t play 4Q. It was a total of 15 minutes of participation.
The match was won by the Blazers 115-110.
He took the lead from the beginning and pulled away from 82-64 in the middle of 3Q. Wizards stuck in 4Q with 24 seconds remaining and Spencer Dinwidy scored 3 points to close the gap to 112-108, but couldn’t catch up.
The Blazers escaped with a free throw and an additional point.
Wizards stopped the winning streak with 3 to 22 wins and 21 losses. Dinwidy scored 27 points and 7 assists, and Kyle Kuzma scored 16 points and 12 rebounds.
The Blazers were 17 wins and 25 losses. Anfernee Simons scored 31 points and 11 assists, and Jusuf Nurkić scored 23 points and 14 rebounds.
Damian Lillard has been absent since the 3rd due to abdominal muscle injury. CJ McCallum has been absent since 6th last month due to lung collapse, but will return on 17th, according to Chauncey Billups.
Norman Powell missed the new coronavirus health and safety protocol.
