Game of 1860 Munich against Türkgücü canceled at short notice

1860 Munich actually wanted to score important points in the promotion race in the city derby against Türkgücü on Saturday. But nothing will come of it for the lions.

Shortly before the planned kick-off, the city duel between Türkgücü Munich and 1860 Munich in the 3rd division was canceled. The DFB announced this on Saturday around 90 minutes before kick-off and gave the reason that the health department of the city of Munich had “ordered a quarantine for large parts of the team” because of a few corona cases in 1860.

Originally, the game should have started at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. An alternative date is not fixed yet. According to the DFB, the game against 1. FC Kaiserslautern scheduled for Tuesday (7:00 p.m.) is “also at high risk”.

During the week, the lions were eliminated in the round of 16 of the DFB Cup against Karlsruher SC. The second division team reported a massive corona outbreak on Thursday, and the game against SV Sandhausen was then postponed.
