Franchises that can sink in the second half of the NBA season

In a season as long as that of the NBA, there are usually notable alternations in the classification, although from the beginning there are teams that aim high and remain there. However, this campaign there are not a few examples of teams that started very well, but for which the regular season could be very long due to the many injured players they have, to a competitive plus of their competitors that brings them back to the reality to which they seemed predestined or to other factors. We selected four teams that seem destined to sink in this second half, and another, Memphis Grizzlies, that generates some doubts about whether he will go to the machada or pay for the effort made:

Cleveland Cavaliers

Injuries to Sexton and Rubio could greatly reduce the chances of the Ohioans, who have high-level pursuers eager to earn a place among the best. They are currently sixth, but their place could be more in the play-in than in that part of the table.

Washington Wizards

They had a brilliant start that has already experienced an obvious puncture, but that can be increased even more, making them even drop out of the top 10 classified. Kuzma and Beal perform at a high level, but the rest of the team lacks chemistry.

Denver Nuggets

What Jokic is doing is amazing, holding up a team that without Murray and Porter should be much further behind. The secondaries have taken a very notable step forward, but it will be difficult for them to maintain this level of regularity in the final stretch of the season.

Los Angeles Clippers

Angelenos are doing a lot in a season in which they seemed predestined to let themselves go and hope that Kawhi recovers. They are not fully determined to make moves in the transfer market with a view to rebuilding, being in playoff positions, but they will soon leave that context.

Memphis Grizzlies

They have managed to overcome so many obstacles so far this year, with injuries to Brooks and Morant, that many already think they will even be a contender for the ring, but the youth and inexperience of the team could lead to a certain lack of foresight to handle the pressure in the final stretch.
