Elohim Prandi stabbed for… a spilled glass of water?

According to the daily L’Équipe, the altercation which led to the very violent aggression of the French international – during New Year’s Eve – would have arisen following a totally anecdotal reason.

A glass of water spilled, and a life can be turned upside down. On the night of December 31 to 1is January, Elohim Prandi was the victim of a violent assault. Stabbed six times, the handball player of Paris SG was transported in serious condition to Ambroise-Paré hospital in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). But fortunately, quickly, his vital prognosis was not engaged and since then he is recovering from this attack which will deprive him of Euro 2022 (January 13 to 30) with the France team. A lesser evil, given the circumstances. The investigation, carried out by the 1st judicial police district (DPJ), is progressing and the newspaper L’Équipe reveals this Tuesday the circumstances which would have led to this attack.

Participating in a private party in a restaurant on rue Pierre-Charron, located near the Champs-Élysées in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, Prandi allegedly had a heated argument with another party participant over a… “spilled glass of water“, According to a source quoted by the sports daily. A trivial fact to say the least, which would lead to serious consequences. Indeed, in the wake of this heated verbal exchange, the rear of the Paris SG would have grappled with this man, moment chosen by another person to seize a sharp object before attacking him and hitting him with six times. “There were a lot of people on the scene but it remains to be seen precisely who saw what, relates a police source in The Team. Investigations are continuing. The identity of the perpetrator has therefore still not been established.
