This album is a return to our roots,” ha affermato Sen Dog. “We were proud hip-hoppers back in the day and we’ve gone through it all. We’re proud to be part of the hip-hop industry. Doing a straight hip-hop joint was the way to go”.

THE NEW SINGLE

Accompanying the announcement, the release of the track “Bye Bye”, second excerpt from BACK IN BLACK, a dark and percussive track, in which Cypress Hill displaces the listener by adding to the mix the emerging rapper originally from Michigan Dizzy Wright, who gives an exceptional verse on the cost of violence.

On the track B-Real he said:

I think with this song, it’s a statement where – in a roundabout way – we speak to the politics of today. That we’re being lulled into this dreamworld. To try to blind us from the separation that the politicians and government create. Trying to put us to sleep and while we’re in this sleep state of unawareness they do whatever they want.”.

After the release of the previous two singles, “Champion Sound” – included in the soundtrack of RBI Baseball ’21, the eighth installment of the RBI game series developed by Major League Baseball – and “Open Ya Mind”, the track “Bye Bye ”Continues to enhance the winning two-voice dynamic of the historic Grammy-nominated group, taking it to new heights – thanks in part to the collaboration with Dizzy Wright.

BACK IN BLACK opens the door for them to an incredible fourth decade of publications, putting the spotlight on why they are consistently recognized as one of the greatest hip-hop landmarks of all time.
