Curiosities: players who wore the Nacional and Racing shirt in their history | Soccer curiosities

The 2022 pass in Argentine football so far, is that of Edwin Cardona to Racing Club. The Antioquia midfielder will seek to take revenge in the ‘academy’ after a stage with two chapters in Boca Juniors.

Cardona will be part of a select list of players who wore the Atlético Nacional and Racing de Avellaneda shirts. In addition, it is recalled that the coach Reinaldo Merlo was in charge of the bank of purslane and racinguistas, having a sweeter memory with that 2001 title.

We began this review with Gastón Pezzuti, an Argentine goalkeeper who was champion with Racing and Nacional, the goal emerged from the lower ranks of the ‘academy’ and arrived at Nacional in 2009, where he was champion in 2011 and 2012.

In defense is Gerardo Bedoya, one of the Colombians most loved by Racing, he appears in 2001, who in Nacional did not have the same fortune, being a player who spent a season between 2005 and 2006. Andrés Orozco arrived at Racing after a stage Brilliant in the DIM, for the 2003/04 season, Nacional ended up in 2009, where he had more grays than flashes. Daniel Santa was a player who emerged in Nacional in 2010, arrived at Racing in 2012, but did not reach his debut in the first division.

José Luis ‘Tata’ Brown was part of Atlético Nacional in 1986, after the World Cup in Mexico and a step through French football, he arrived at Racing in 1990. Another Argentine defender who went through both clubs was Norberto Anido, who was in Nacional in 1966. With Racing, Anido made his professional debut in 1955 and played 10 years in the ‘albiceleste’ team.

In the line of flyers, one of the most brilliant names is that of Giovanni Moreno, the ‘skinny’ arrived at Nacional in 2009 and for 2011 his destination was Racing, it is striking that, without being champion in either of the two teams, Moreno is a fantasist who seduced the fans’ retina. Moreno would be very close to reaching Nacional, in a second cycle highly anticipated by the purslane fans.

Andrés Ibargüen after winning five titles with Atlético Nacional in two seasons (2015-2017), for the second half of 2017 he ended up at Racing Club, where he played just 11 games, but it was his platform to continue his career in Mexico with Club América .

José Luis Prentelli was in Racing from 1965 to 1967, where he went to Atlético Nacional. Óscar ‘Coco’ Rossi was in 1954 with Racing and in 1966 with Atlético Nacional. On the attack front, Wilder Guisao was at Nacional in 2014 and moved to Racing in 2016, after a stint in Toluca in Mexico and Sao Paulo in Brazil.
