KALLANG – The Indonesian National Team (Timnas) was without four players while being detained by Thailand 2-2 in the second leg of the 2020 AFF Cup final on Saturday 1 January 2021 evening WIB. The four players are Elkan Baggott, Victor Igbonefo, Rizky Dwi, and Rizky Ridho because they are considered to have violated health protocols.
The four names above are precisely known to have committed violations because they came out of a predetermined bubble. Because it was proven that they were out of the bubble region, the four Garuda squad players were then banned from appearing in the 2020 AFF Cup final second leg.
Previously the Secretary General of PSSI, Yunus Nusi, admitted that he had paid the fine for the mistakes of the players and hoped that they could play. However, ahead of the Indonesia vs Thailand national team match, the event committee banned Baggott, Rizky Ridho, Rizky Dwi, and Victor from playing.

“We can’t stop thinking about the Singapore government regarding this incident. We have received fines from the AFF because the four players violated the bubble rules on December 23,” Yunus said, Sunday (2/1/2022).
“We have already paid the fine. Why now suddenly they punish players by not being able to play later tonight, ”he said.
