Buccaneers activated Leonard Fournette from injured list and will play against Rams

The Tampa Bays Buccaneers set up a game plan with Ke’Shawn Vaughn and Giovani Bernard to face the Los Angeles Rams on the Ronda Divisional of the NFC playoffs, but everything changed when get back to Leonard Fournette.

The team announced in a press release that the running back was activated from injured reserve and will be available for Sunday’s game at Raymond James Stadium. Fournette has been out of action since suffering a hamstring injury during the Week 15 game against the New Orleans Saints.

In order to include Fournette on the 53-man roster, the team cut Le’Veon Bell. The former Steelers running back has appeared in the Buccaneers’ last three regular-season games and has rushed for 49 yards on 12 offensive touches.

Despite only playing 63 percent of offensive snaps, Fournette in 2021 was an essential part of the Bucs’ offense, racking up 1,266 yards and 10 touchdowns from the line of scrimmage after 249 offensive touches. On the ground, it was 812 yards on 180 carries and in the air he caught 69 of the 84 passes thrown his way.
