Bola.com, Jakarta – Arema FC will fight against PSIS Semarang on week 20 of BRI Liga 1 2021/2022 at the Captain I Wayan Dipta Stadium, Gianyar, Monday (17/1/2022).
Arema FC have a heavier burden on matchday 20 of BRI Liga 1. After becoming the leader of the temporary standings, all potential opponents now have more enthusiasm to beat them, including PSIS Semarang who will be their opponent tonight. The team nicknamed Mahesa Jenar also wants to end Arema’s unbeaten record in 16 matches.
PSIS has already owned psychic capital to realize this target. In the last six meetings in various events, Arema never won.
PSIS managed to win four times and the other two matches ended in a draw. In the first round of BRI Liga 1 this season, the two teams played out a goalless draw.
“Maybe Arema will also lose later. Maybe in this game. PSIS will end Arema’s record,” said PSIS coach Dragan Djukanovic.
Facing this duel, PSIS made a number of improvements. In the final preparations, Dragan improved his team’s defense system and finishing. Those two things will become weapons to bend Arema FC.
“We divided the team into two groups in preparation. One team defends and one improves the finishing touch. Because we were not satisfied with the previous game. There are many opportunities that still haven’t led to goals,” explained the 52-year-old coach from Montenegro.
