Benjamin Mendy was in custody for more than four months, now the Frenchman was allowed to leave the institution. The last word has not yet been spoken – the allegations persist.

The 27-year-old defense attorney was remanded in custody on rape allegations in Manchester last August. The trial against him should have started this month, but it was postponed until the summer.
