Phil Weller, who last worked as chairman and coach, will mainly take care of organizational matters in the coming Bundesliga season, which begins for the Schwechater with the game against Traiskirchen on April 17th.
An old acquaintance takes over the responsibility of the head coach: Daniel Jahn. He had trained the Blue Bats before, is a founding member and was also a youth national team trainer.
Roland Spitzegger will be at his side as co-trainer. The new signing is a founding member and ex-player of the Vienna Bulldogs. His last employer was Bad Homburg, a club in the German baseball league.
“A league that is two classes stronger than ours,” emphasizes club boss Weller. Sebastian Daum has additional experience. He is the first professional fitness trainer of the Schwechat baseball club. “After last season we know what was missing”, Weller expects great progress in the area of fitness.
The American Tyler William and the Canadian Levi Moon are no longer part of the team. But the club is on to two new import players.
