ATP – Cup> Untenable, Australia joins Russia at the top of the group, France last

Thanks to Alex De Minaur’s superb victory over Matteo Berrettini, Australia were able to play the decisive double and finally won against Italy after a thrilling match.

Carried by a small crowd but very noisy and a pair of specialists composed of John Peers and Luke Saville, the two Aussies finally won against Simone Bolelli and Matteo Berrettini: 6–3, 7–5.

A victory which allows the Australians to join Russia, falling from France, at the head of the group. The two nations will also be opposed in the next round while France will play its best enemy Italy.
