Arosemana promises to give everything to reach the Major Leagues

Panamanian prospect Erick Arosemena, 16, was officially linked to the San Francisco Giants franchise this Saturday, after signing the contract for which, in exchange, he will receive a bonus of $372,200 dollars.

Arosemena, a native of the Arraiján district, promised to always give her best when entering the field. “I am very happy, I went through hard times, the effort was worth it and I am happy with this,” he said.

“God first, I’m going to work hard to reach the Major Leagues in the future,” he said.

Arosemena’s beginnings in baseball, the outfielder said, occurred when he was 5 years old, in the academy of former baseball player Elpidio Pinto. “I never imagined getting here, I played ball for fun.”

The player highlighted that currently one of the major league players who inspires him is the Venezuelan Ronald Acuña, of the Atlanta Braves. “That’s how I play, speed and strength,” he said.

He stated that his parents have advised him “to have humility above all else and to always be with his feet on the ground”, in addition to “continuing to work hard”.

The Major League Baseball (MLB) international signing period opened this Saturday, January 15 for the class of 2021-22.
