American Russell Henley, new leader in Hawaii

The American Russell Henley provisionally leads the Sony Open de Hawai, tournament belonging to the American PGA circuit, with a total of 125 strokes, 15 under par, in the middle of the championship.

Henley reached the first position after finishing this Thursday in second place after completing the circuit of the Waialae Country Club of Honolulu in 63 impacts, with two bogeys, five birdies and two eagles.

Behind him stood the Chinese Haotong Li, three strokes, and the American Matt Kuchar, third, with a cumulative score of 129.

The American Kevin Na, defending champion of the title and who yesterday opened the tournament by conquering the first place in the table, moved away from the top positions by signing a card of 71 hits, ten more than the previous round, and finished in 16th place at seven hits of the leader.

Note that the Australian Cameron Smith, winner of the Tournament of Champions last week in Kapalua (Maui, Hawaii), missed the cut by 3 strokes. He signed 71 on the second day for 138 (-2). The cutoff was set at 135 (-5).
