Acunsa GBC adds three more positives and will not receive Estudiantes either

He has six infected in total and will have to play against the schoolboys before January 30, while his next game is on Sunday 16 in Prat

The Acunsa GBC yesterday communicated three more positives for Covid in the workforce, in addition to the other three that Aitor Uriondo announced on Tuesday. The forecast of suffering more infections has been fulfilled and a total of six are affected, a health situation that forces to postpone the match against Estudiantes, scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in San Sebastián. The Donostiarras still have two pending games to play, with the difference now that both have no date yet. That of Madrid and the derby against Juaristi Iraurgi.

The Federation has agreed together with the eighteen LEB Oro clubs to make the recovery periods more flexible for the twenty games that have had to be postponed so far. The deadline for playing the matches of the first round has been extended from January 23 to 30, as long as they have a direct influence on the fight for access to the Princess Cup. This is the case of the Acunsa GBC-Estudiantes, since the schoolboys have options to enter the final.

The rest, as in the case of the Gipuzkoa derby, can be played later, although there are already several games relocated on January 19 and 20 and it is not ruled out that this is the case with Acunsa Gipuzkoa Basket-Juaristi Iraurgi.

The FEB, in addition, has allowed that the matches that have to be recovered do not have to follow the strict order of the days and has enabled the stoppage of the Princess Cup (February 11) and that of the national teams (February 25) to to be able to play the games and thus not load the calendar any more.

For now, waiting for the situation to not worsen, the next game for the Donostiarras is next Sunday, January 16, at 12:15 pm in Prat. On the other hand, that of Juaristi Iraurgi continues to be that of Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. against Real Valladolid in Azpeitia.
