A success for the first interdepartmental day of adapted sport

On Saturday January 8, 2022, the Archers of La Hire, in collaboration with the Arc Auscitain, the Departmental Committee for Adapted Sport 32 and the League Sport Adapté Occitanie organized an inter-departmental competition for Para Adapté archery. Thirty-six fencers from eight centers or clubs took part in this competition counting as a stage before the Pyrenees Zone League championships which will be held at Union (31).

Tarn was represented by La Soleillade from Blaye-les-Mines and Lalala Sport from Lavaur and Haute-Garonne by Blagnac Sport and Les Archers Frontonnais. As for the Gers, it was, unsurprisingly, the bulk of the participants with four teams: ASEI d’Auch, Les Thuyas de Monferran-Savès, Arc Auscitain d’Auch and Les Archers de La Hire for Condom.

Despite the low temperatures of the gymnasium, very good results were achieved, which could make able-bodied shooters envious. The rankings being related to the handicap, many categories were represented, these details can be tedious to read, we will spare the reader.

All the podiums were rewarded. At the end of the competition, each of the archers received rewards: snack, bracelet, diplomas and sticker, as well as cups and medals for the best results.

The representatives of the town hall, Charlotte Fernandez and Lionel Beyries, were present and congratulated the shooters and organizers for this day.

We must also thank the volunteers who, despite their fingers numbed by the cold, filled out the score sheets and put in place the equipment so that everything goes as well as possible and made this first interdepartmental adapted sport day for the Archers Condomois a success. .

Among these volunteers, one of them, particularly noticed, was also awarded a diploma: Jules as the youngest volunteer this Saturday.

Health constraints did not allow this day to be closed with a glass of friendship, but it is to be hoped that this is only a postponement.
