Yasiel Puig will play with Kiwoom in the South Korean League

The ex-grandeliga Cuban outfielder Yasiel puig signed a one-year, $ 1 million contract with the Kiwoom Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO), reported Jeeho Yoo Yonhap News Agency.

Puig will receive the highest salary for a first-year foreign player at KBO, after spending his 2021 playing for El Águila de Veracruz in the Mexican Baseball League, where he hit .312 (from 205-64) with 12. doubles, 10 homers, 43 RBIs, .409 on-base percentage, .517 slugging and .926 OPS.

He also saw action with Toros del Este in the Dominican Republic, where in nine games he posted a line of .176 / .256 / .294 / .551 product of six hits in 34 at-bats, with a double, home run, two RBIs and 10 bases reached.
