Viktor Hovland won the Hero World Challenge

Norwegian Viktor Hovland signed this Sunday, on the last day of the Hero World Challenge, a round of 66 hits (six under par), to add his fourth title – second in less than a month – on the PGA Tour of golf. The past had been at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba.

Hovland ended up being the best in the tournament held in the Bahamas, in which they only participated 20 golfers and that it is of a charitable nature, since it raises funds for the foundation of the former number one in the world, Tiger Woods, who precisely gave the trophy to the European player.

The Oslo golfer, trained at Oklahoma State University, finished with 270 total hits (18 under par) and finished ahead of seven Americans: Scottie Scheffler (-17), Sam Burns and Patrick Reed (-15), Justin Thomas and Sollin Morikawa (-14) Tony Finau and Daniel Berger (-13).

Morikawa started the last day as leader, but a round of 76 (+4) this Sunday prevented him from taking the victory and therefore be number one in the World Ranking.

Hovland, 24 years old and professional since 2019, adds this title to those achieved in 2020 at the Puerto Rico Open and the Mayakoba Golf Classic, along with the one obtained on November 7 at the World Wide Technology Championship at Mayakoba, the last tournament that he played before traveling to the Bahamas.
