Vietnamese Media Admits Shin Tae Yong is Greater Than Park Hang Seo

Greatness Shin Tae Yong Vietnamese media acknowledged ahead of duel Indonesian National team vs Vietnam in Group B of the 2021 AFF Cup (2020) at Bishan Stadium, Wednesday (15/12).

The Indonesia vs Vietnam duel is in the spotlight not only because of the history of the two teams meeting in the AFF Cup and Southeast Asia, but also the coach factor of the two teams.

Both Indonesia and Vietnam were both trained by coaches from South Korea. Indonesia is now handled by Shin Tae Yong, while Vietnam has long been with Park Hang Seo.

Ahead of the Indonesia vs Vietnam meeting in the third match of Group B, Vietnamese media Lao Dong revealed the greatness of Shin Tae Yong over Park Hang Seo.

According to Lao Dong, Shin Tae Yong’s greatness over Park Hang Seo occurred when the former South Korean national team coach at the 2018 World Cup had not yet handled the Garuda Squad.

Before they both coached the Southeast Asian team, both Shin Tae Yong and Park Hang Seo competed in the domestic league when leading clubs in the Korean League (K-League).

Of the 10 meetings at club level, Shin Tae Yong won eight times, drew once and lost only to Park Hang Seo.

Not only that, according to Lao Dong, Park Hang Seo also assessed that the current Indonesian national team had many changes in the hands of Shin Tae Yong, both in terms of gameplay, enthusiasm for playing, and the movement of players on the field.

Therefore, during the 2021 AFF Cup performances, Park Hang Seo spent more time watching Shin Tae Yong’s team in Group B.

Meanwhile, since handling Vietnam in 2017, Park Hang Seo has always won against Indonesia. Park Hang Seo also once won over Shin Tae Yong at the national team level when Vietnam beat Indonesia 4-0 in the 2022 World Cup Qualifiers.
