Video. Chad: resumption of construction work on the country’s first dojo

#Other countries : The Minister of Youth, Sports and the Promotion of Entrepreneurship, Routouang Mohamed Ndonga Christian, attended the restart of the work of the first Chadian dojo in N’Djamena. It was an opportunity to breathe new life into this sport and all of the martial arts in general.

Soon, Chad will have its first dojo, or its first judo practice room. Construction work has resumed with a vengeance, after its interruption by the Covid-19. On the site, a group of technicians from Europe and those from Chad are working hard to meet deadlines. The work relates to the assembly phase and the assembly of prefabricated materials.

The spectacular resumption of work was appreciated by Maitre Palou Etienne, member of the Chadian Judo Federation.

After 72 hours of intense work, the assembly of the frame which will contain the roof is almost completed. The progress of the construction work of the dojo led the Minister of Youth to make the trip to the site.

In this dojo under construction, not only judo will be practiced, but ten other martial arts disciplines will be in the spotlight.

The construction of the dojo in the Chadian capital is the result of the cooperation of the International Judo Federation and the Chadian Judo Federation. Work began in 2019 before being interrupted by the pandemic.
