Unusual> Schwartzman on his childhood: “The grown-ups didn’t let the little ones play, so I trained against a wall”

Diego Schwartzman hasn’t been able to return to Argentina much this year. He has complained about it on several occasions. So he is currently enjoying his holidays in his country, before flying to Australia.

He inaugurated a large tennis center, with a central court that bears his name, in the city of his childhood, Tigre, in the province of Buenos Aires.

“El peque” has on this occasion tell an anecdote to the Jewish Telegraphic Agency on his first steps in tennis.

“This place was very different when I came to play with my friends. Some days we kids would play right in front of the wall, there weren’t enough courts, the big guys wouldn’t let the little ones play, so I was practicing against a wall. Years later some of them still didn’t want me to play… But that’s because I started winning them », recounted on 14e global.
