The Consultation Committee of the various governments has decided that from Sunday 26 December no public is allowed to be present at sports competitions, both indoors and outdoors. This is due to the rising corona figures.

This means that the 21st match day in the Jupiler Pro League will be played without an audience. Five matches will be played on Sunday: Cercle Brugge- Club Brugge, Standard-Zulte Waregem, Kortrijk-Antwerp, Union-Ghent and Ostend-Genk. On Monday there are four matches: KV Mechelen-Seraing, Charleroi-OHL, STVV-Eupen and Beerschot-Anderlecht. After that, there will be a winter break until January 14.This decision is also a tough one for cyclo-cross in Flanders: on Sunday there is the World Cup round in Dendermonde. The first clash this season between Wout van Aert and Mathieu van der Poel will be one without spectators. This is followed by the Superprestigecross in Heusden-Zolder (Monday, December 27), Diegem (29/12), Loenhout (30/12), Baal (1 January), Gullegem (4 January) and Herentals (5 January) and the Belgian championships in Middelkerke (8 and 9/1). But it is not yet clear until how long it will have to be organized without an audience.
