The Panamanian Sports Institute (Pandeportes) launched, for the second time, the tender for improvements to the Rod Carew stadium.
The project to remodel the ballpark has a cost of $ 6.6 million.
Pandeportes tries for the second time to find a company to carry out the project “Study, design and construction of improvements to the Rod Carew National Stadium, Phase 1”.
In the first call, the Evaluation Commission, when reviewing the proposals of the companies Rigaservices and Promociones y Distribución Cinco Sociedad Anónima de Capital Variable, determined that the companies did not comply with the minimum mandatory requirements, so the bid had to be declared void.
- Among the works that will be carried out in the stadium are: raising, repairing and reinstalling 5,000 seats with existing arms.
- Supply and installation of 10,000 new armchairs with baseball-type arms.
- Conditioning parking lots with asphalt.
- Slab waterproofing of the first ring of the stadium.
- Roof repair.
- Lifting of the entire playing field, change of irrigation system, storm drainage system, terrain shaping, demarcation of the playing field and installation of grass.
- Remodeling of dogout dressing rooms.
- Remodeling of the transmission cabins.
- Batting cage adaptations.
- Remodeling of bathrooms and public kiosks.
- Bedroom remodeling.
- Remodeling from HID lights to LED playground lights.
- Change of padding mats.
- Change of all the sound equipment of the stadium.
- Change of modern facade and lighting.
- General cleaning.
