The regional Executive subsidizes 129 sporting events of special interest to Castilla-La Mancha – 12/11/2021 Region

The Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha will publish next Monday a resolution of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports by which the call for subsidies for the organization of sporting events of special interest in Castilla-La Mancha 2021 is resolved.

This was announced today by the general director of Youth and Sports, Carlos Yuste, during the celebration of the Castilla-La Mancha Water Polo Cup where he explained that an amount of 220,000 euros has been allocated to subsidize a total of 129 organized sporting events by 79 entities of the Autonomous Community.

Among the aid that the different sports federations, clubs and associations will receive, those that are destined to finance the organization, in different categories, of Spanish Athletics, Canoeing, Motocross, Cycling, Football, Tennis, Fishing, Rescue Championships , Beach Volleyball, Squash, Small game with dog; Golf, Fencing, Nautical Skiing or for international basketball tournaments, Taekwondo; Iberdrola Badminton Cup, etc.

Likewise, it will help entities that have organized inclusive sport events such as the national championship of Inclusive Football 7, tests of the Spanish championship of fencing in wheelchairs, Tennis and Paddle in Wheelchairs, Adapted Swimming or the Spanish Cup of Adapted Cycling, among others.

The general director highlighted that since the regional government of Emiliano García-Page took office, nearly 700 sporting events have been supported, “something that demonstrates the commitment of the Executive of Castilla-La Mancha in promoting general sport and events sports events, in particular, events that not only encourage sports but also attract tourism and wealth to the towns where they are held ”.

Finally, Yuste congratulated the Regional Swimming Federation for the organization of the 2021 Waterpolo Cup of Castilla-La Mancha, in which the Waterpolo Valdepeñas, Waterpolo Albacete and Waterpolo ‘Poseidón’ clubs from Talavera de la Reina have participated, both in male and female category. In addition, the Puerta de Valencia team has also participated as a guest.

“This type of championships help to promote sports that have less experience in our autonomous community,” he concluded.
