The Patriots Vs. Colts

Los New England Patriots have won the last eight games against the Indianapolis Colts. Bill Belichick’s last loss to the Colts was in Week 10 of the 2009 season. Frank Reich and company hope that Saturday Night of the Week 15 change that narrative.

Another fact that plays in favor of the Pats is that this season they are undefeated away from home and the game will be at Lucas Oil Stadium. Also, if the Colts want to make the playoffs, they will have to beat them.

Here are the five players to follow from the game between the Patriots and the Colts.

Jonathan Taylor/RB/Colts

The following data will serve to know the importance of Jonathan Taylor on the Colts offense. According to the NFL statistics service, the running back accumulates 1,684 yards from the scrimmage line, which represents 35.2 percent of the Colts’ total yards.

In the entire league, there is no other player who surpasses 30 percent. Additionally, Taylor is responsible for 18 of Indianapolis’ 42 touchdowns.

Rhamondre Stevenson/RB/Patriots

With Damien Harris absent due to hamstring problems, Bill Belichick will trust the rookie. Rhamondre Stevenson to bear the responsibility for the ground attack.

Stevenson’s production is extraordinary for the number of plays in which he has participated. According to Pro Football Reference, the running back has seen action in 185 offensive snaps, or 32 percent, and records 546 yards and three touchdowns from the scrimmage after 112 offensive touches.

Carson Wentz/QB/Colts

In his carrer, Carson Wentz has faced a rookie quarterback ten times and will add another of those games when he faces Mac Jones.. According to NFL Stats, the Colts quarterback has been victorious eight times, lost one and tied the other. This gives him the third best winning percentage against rookies.

This year he faced David Mills of the Houston Texans in Week 6 and Trevor Lawrence of the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 10 with two wins for the Colts. The veteran QB will have to watch the ball if he wants to beat another rookie.

Mac Jones/QB/Patriots

Jones, a product of Alabama, is the best rookie QB yet. The 23-year-old has led the Patriots on a seven-game winning streak in which he has accumulated 1,397 yards, nine touchdown passes and two interceptions. In addition, he is the only rookie who has completed more than 70 percent of his throws after trying 100 or more.

Bobby Okereke/LB/Colts

Okereke has claimed the title in his third year as a professional and it has left a good taste in Frank Reich’s mouth. The linebacker has contested 98 percent of defensive snaps and is the Colts’ leading tackler with 107 tackles. Stanford’s product is one of the A Continue players because he will be very active trying to stop New England’s running game.
