Governor Sergio Uñac participated this Thursday night in the act of inauguration of the roof of the basketball court of the Club Atlético Urquiza, with which it was transformed into a micro-stadium covered with LED lighting, changing rooms and a floating wooden floor.

The work, which began in January of this year, comprises a metal structure made up of metal frames.
The roof covers about 1400m2 and was made with prefabricated panels, which guarantee the thermal insulation of the enclosure and translucent sheet metal in some sectors, allowing natural light to enter the interior.
The lateral enclosure is made up of existing masonry walls, panels with the same characteristics as those used in the roof, and sheets.
On the previous granite floor, a first quality parquet floor, made of guatambú, has been mounted. It involves the surface destined for the playing field, surrounded by a smooth concrete subfloor.
The lighting system is of the LED type, and the lighting design is in accordance with the main discipline that will be developed in this space.
Changing room block, (local, visitor and referees), all equipped with showers and toilets, ceramic cladding and LED lighting.
As ancillary works, the toilets were completely renovated from their sanitary installation, wall and floor tiles, carpentry and artifacts. The adjoining walls, beach and new exterior led lighting system were also renovated.
Interventions at the Club Atlético Urquiza will guarantee an optimal development of their sport par excellence: basketball. In addition, all that has been done will allow the club to increase and diversify the activities carried out in it to contribute to a more comprehensive sports development.
