The Christmas Tennis Tournament started

In order to promote sport in the city on these December dates, the municipality of Aguascalientes organized a Christmas Tennis Tournament, which had a good participation of almost 50 tennis players of different categories.
This championship began last weekend in two different venues, one of them was the Rodolfo Reyna Soto Sports Unit, in which category B and C men’s matches were played, as well as D and women’s free. The other venue was the municipal courts of the Interceptor Channel, where the games of the remaining categories were held.
The intense activity that took place at the Reyna Soto Unit began last Saturday with the round of 16 games in the men’s category “B”, with the winners being Gildardo Reyes, Eric Ocampo, Leonardo Zertuche, Omar Serafio, Isaac Rodríguez, Ángel Herrera and Leonardo Diaz.
These seven winners joined Pablo Herrera to play in the quarterfinal round, where the players who made their way to the semifinals were Pablo Herrera, Leonardo Zertuche, Omar Serafio and Ángel Herrera, who will compete in the semifinals next weekend.
Within the men’s category “C”, the semifinal crosses were also defined, after the large number of matches that were held on Saturday and Sunday. Eduardo Atilano defeated Ricardo Torres in the quarterfinals to access the semifinal, which will be played against Juan Pedro Herrera.
In the other key, the semifinalists are Juan Carlos Medina and César Elías, who defeated Diego Camacho and Sergio Negrete, respectively.
Regarding the female branch, the favorites to take the title in the freestyle category are Mónica Peña and Paulina Villarreal after obtaining two wins last weekend; while, in the women’s category “D”, the final will be played between Isis Beristaín and Alondra López.
All the semifinals and finals will be played this coming Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 on the same courts, as well as the men’s category “A”, which will have few but quite attractive matches.
